Dying Concept Sketch is a framed 8.5"x11"concept sketch created by Adrianne on toned paper, with a hanging wire installed for immediate hanging.
This was a concept sketch created for the Dying painting, exploring the symbols, world, and themes of the piece in pencil before it was referenced to create the painting.
Adrianne says: "Concept sketches like this one really showcase the visionary process that goes into my work. When I created this sketch for Dying, I was taken by the idea of a person walking down a path towards the end of their life through canyons of ancient bones, and explored that concept here. I was particularly taken by dinosaur and mammoth bones, but it's fun to see all the different kinds of bones here and in the final painting."
