All expressions of genius are connected to nature in some way. This was one of Adrianne’s main inspirations as she painted The Light Grows Within, which was initially painted as a spirit portrait for a fellow visionary artist.


The painting was meant to elicit the feeling of nature’s magical essence and of unexpected connections: flowers, lightbulbs, mysterious shadows and twisting leaves. The lightbulb could be quite literally thought of as an “aha!”; a symbol of genius. But Adrianne wanted to evoke the world of organic genius that comes from the creative essence of life itself.

INSPIRATION

The Light Grows Within is inspired by the idea that true genius is rooted in nature, blending organic elements with the symbolism of light to evoke creative awakening. It reflects the inner spark of insight as a living, natural force that grows from within.

COLLECTION

The Human Nature Collection explores parts of what Adrianne calls “the experiential human wilderness”: parts of our inner experience that we go through as we move through life’s landscape.
