Beginning as a spirit portrait for a client and friend, Egret Moon blossomed from visions of the northern California coast: solitary egrets, cold waters, and dripping eucalyptuses. But other symbols found their way into this magical spirit portrait, as crystal feathers started to emerge on the panel, and the star sign of Scorpio blossomed in the sky-water.


This piece is dedicated to the essence of the spirit of a solitary healer: one who walks a lonely (yet powerful) path. Oftentimes, very powerful souls are quite sensitive, requiring a lot of time alone.. communing with the essence of cycles, cosmos, and nature. It is in that time that these sensitive healer souls will find their true restoration. And when they are ready, they will emerge.. ready to share their wisdom with the world again.

INSPIRATION

Egret Moon was inspired by visions of the northern California coast, blending solitary egrets, ocean energy, and cosmic symbolism into a spirit portrait of a sensitive, powerful healer. It reflects the journey of those who restore themselves in solitude before emerging to share their wisdom with the world.
