“Initiation” is a concept that Adrianne says she feels we all experience, one way or another, on our life’s journey. We all come to a point in life - maybe several times - where we face something so transformative that it becomes a death and rebirth. Through that rebirth, we discover what it is about us that can’t be destroyed.. And find our true capacity.


A copy of the “initiation“ poem, originally conceived by Adrianne alongside the painting, comes with every print.

INSPIRATION

Adrianne painted “Initiation” as one of ten pieces in a series of paintings called The Human Nature Collection.

COLLECTION

The Human Nature Collection explores parts of what Adrianne calls “the experiential human wilderness”: parts of our inner experience that we go through as we move through life’s landscape.
